Electromagnetic Braking Three Phase Asynchronous Motor

The series Y2EJ brake motor are totally enclosed fan-cooled three-phase. Squirrel-cage
induction motors with DC disc electromagnetic brake. With rapid, braking simple
construction, high reliability, excellent universal performance etc. There is a manual release
set on the brake the motors are widely used in various machinery equipments and driving
mechanisms, which require braking and accurate position.
The DC disc brake of the series Y2EJ is mounted on the end-shield at non-drive end. While the
motor is switched on, brake works at the same time, the motor begin to run because
electromagnetic force attracts armature and passes the spring, make disc separated from
armature and end-shield. When power supply is turned off, iron core of the brake loses
electromagnetic force, the armature is pulled by the spring to compress the brake disc.
The motor is stopped at once by the force moment of frictions according to every type of Y2EJ
series brake motors Relative double speed brake motors of Y2EJ series are available.
Brake's power is supplied by the rectifier in the terminal box, AC220V-DC99V for motor up to
3kw, AC380V-DC170V for 4kw and upwards.
